2026-2035 Vermillion River Watershed Management Plan
By Minnesota statute, watershed management organizations (WMOs) in the seven-county Twin Cities metro area are required to update their watershed management plans every ten years, at most. The Vermillion River Watershed Joint Powers Organization (VRWJPO) falls into that category. Our current Plan, enacted in 2016, expires at the end of 2025.
We have had several opportunities for public feedback in Phase One, Issue Identification. Phase Two, Goals and Strategies Development, will begin later in the spring with more opportunities.
