2026-2035 Vermillion River Watershed Management Plan

By Minnesota statute, watershed management organizations (WMOs) in the seven-county Twin Cities metro area are required to update their watershed management plans every ten years, at most. The Vermillion River Watershed Joint Powers Organization (VRWJPO) falls into that category. Our current Plan, enacted in 2016, expires at the end of 2025. To ensure we get as much public input and time to carefully craft the 2026-2035 Plan as possible, we have begun the Plan development process. We have several opportunities for public feedback, including Community Conversations and virtual stakeholder meetings.

Community Conversations:

January 16, 2024, Lakeville Water Treatment Facility

January 24, 2024, Pleasant Hill Library, Hastings

Virtual Stakeholder Meetings: Sign up here
